Mulligan Elementary School was recognized as the Long Island School of the Year by Junior Achievement, (JA), of New York. Mulligan Elementary was awarded this distinguished achievement for being a JA VIP role model school which inspires students to "dream big and reach their full potential." Junior Achievement of New York is the local affiliate of Junior Achievement USA, the nation's largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan their future and make smart academic and economic choices. They recruit, train and mobilize than 7,600 corporate and community volunteers to provide relevant, hands-on experiences that give students knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. Dr. Hudson noted that this outstanding accomplishment is the result of the entire Mulligan Elementary School team working together to provide the tools students will need to be successful. The Central Islip Board of Education, Administration, Faculty, Staff and Community congratulate the Mulligan Elementary School Family for this remarkable achievement.
