Morrow 2nd Graders Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

This is the image for the news article titled Morrow 2nd Graders Celebrate Cinco de MayoMorrow Elementary Second Grade Students observed some of the culinary customary celebrations of Cinco de Mayo.  The students enjoyed quesadillas, guacamole, chips, sour cream and salsa, and special Mexican Hat Cookies for dessert as they convened in the Second Grade Complex to celebrate together. Cinco de Mayo, also called 'Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla', is a holiday celebrated  in parts of Mexico and in the United States in honor of a military victory in 1862 over the forces of Napoleon III. The images in this presentation depict some of the festivities students and their teachers enjoyed.
