The Curriculum and Grants Committee for the Central Islip Union Free School District, chaired by School Board Member Dan Devine, meets quarterly for the purpose of keeping the community apprised of all curricular related programs, assessments and state initiatives. The Committee also reviews and makes recommendations relating to competitive grants. As District officials strive to improve student achievement and expand the implementation of, and investment in innovative practices that are demonstrated to have an impact to improving student achievement, grants are an integral part of assisting our District in providing additional revenues. These funds assist with programs, materials and resources for our students. Grants which our District have been successful in securing have had a positive impact on improving student achievement.
